E + J Wedding | Sharon Heights Country Club | Woodside

This wedding had all of the adorable details that I love along with the color combo to die for!  Yelena of The Stylish Soiree designed the event and used navy blue, white, gray and hints of peaches and corals for a pop of color.  Emily hired an awesome team of vendors so of course everything went off without a hitch!

Photographer: Meg Perotti

Make Up - Jane with The Glamourist

Thank you Meg for sharing these lovely photos with us!

Stumbleupon + Etsy Bridal Event

I had a great time meeting all sorts of awesome people at the Stumbleupon and Esty event last week.  It was a lot of fun working with one of my previous brides Cathelya (a.k.a Mrs. Penguin from Weddingbee) who hosted the Lover.ly booth.  The opportunity came up pretty last minute so we didn't have a lot of time to plan but maybe that was a good thing?  I had to come up with a plan fast and didn't have time to change my mind.  Overall, I'm pretty excited how everything turned out and a big thank you to Amanda from One True Love Vintage Rentals for hooking me up with the super awesome farm table, vintage doors with the shelves and the chair.  I definitely would not have been able to pull the look together without her pieces.

If you haven't checked out Stumbleupon yet - it's a fun tool to find things you like.  You can check out some of the things I stumbledupon here: http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/huckleberrykaren

While you are at it - you should also check out Lover.ly - a place where you can bundle all of your beautiful wedding inspiration in one place.  I'll be sharing some of my favorite bundles soon!

And here are some lovely photos taken by Melanie Duerkopp.  Thank you Melanie for sharing these with us!!

Here is my "booth" where I chatted with brides about the upcoming nuptials.

Here is Amanda's section for One True Love Vintage Rentals.  She just picked up this awesome shoe rack and so I decorated it with a garland and accented it with some bold flowers in the corner.

Here is the Lover.ly table.  Absolutely adorable!

The desserts were made by Batter Bakery located in San Francisco.  All I can say is YUM.  I managed to sneak in a cookie and cupcake and both were delicious!

Photo Shoot | Radionich Ranch | Los Gatos | Part II

Here are some more images of the bouquets and bridal accessories I made for the shoot I talked about here.

I've been wanting to make a purse for a while so I bought a purse covered in moss
and accented it with a coral charm peony along with some ranunculus.

Here is the hair clip I made to match the purse.
Yellow always makes me smile!  The bouquet has ranunculus, dianthus, ming fern, dusty miller
fever few, white matsumoto, eucalyptus and rice flower.

Here is a headband I made with some ranunculus, eucalyptus seeds and ming fern.

This photo does not do the bouquet justice - this bouquet was gorgeous in person. My husband said it was one of his favorites thus far.  The purple was so rich and vibrant and the lilac made the bouquet smell oh so lovely.  I used lilac, purple ranunculus, rice flower, purple veronica, ming fern, dusty miller and eucalyptus leaves.

Photo Shoot | Radionich Ranch | Los Gatos

It seems I have published a blank post.  Apologies for this!  I'm not sure what happened and would like to blame it on my computer or the internet but I'm pretty sure it was my fault somehow.  I am sad though because it was a nice thought out post with all of the pictures.  And now it's just going to be pictures.  So sad.

I was presented the opportunity to collaborate on a photos shoot with Karen of Love Life Studios. She sent over some images of lovely 20's, 40's and 50's dresses that she wanted to shoot and asked me to make some flowers and accessories to match.  I was very excited about this since I've been wanting to play around with some different flowers I don't usually get to use.  This gave me a chance to play around and be creative.

Anyway, the first bouquet I made is a modern version of the cascade bouquets that most brides carried back in the day.  I used some eucalyptus leaves to add fullness and to help with the draping and jasmine so it would "cascade".  This bouquet is probably in my top 5 favorite bouquets I've made to date.

J + D Wedding | Peninsula Golf & Country Club | San Mateo

I love spring weddings.  You get all of the lovely flowers you can imagine in the soft pastel colors.  This wedding had soft pinks, lovely shades of cream, bright coral accented with lime green.  We used vintage gold candelabras for the ceremony and reception which looked amazing in the room.  And did I mention that this room had HUGE windows?  It was a gorgeous backdrop for the ceremony.

Venue: Peninsula Golf and Country Club, San Mateo
Invitations and Paper Goods: Christine with Stella Bella Invitations
Florals: Huckleberry Karen Designs

I also received a very sweet thank you note for the bride just the other day!
"Dear Karen,
Things have finally settled down after the wedding and honeymoon  I just wanted to thank you so much for all your hard work doing my flowers!  They were soooo beautiful and they made the wedding.  So many people have told me how they loved the flowers. I will send you some photos as soon as I get them.  Thanks again."  --Love, Judy

Bride's Bouquet: Patience garden rose, Juliet garden rose, freesia, spray rose, ranunculus
hydrangea, vendela roses, and lisanthus

Mom Posy: spray roses, Pink avalanche rose, peach avalanche rose, sahara rose
green hydrangea, pink ranunculus

One of the benefits of holding your ceremony and reception in the same place is the ability to re-purpose flowers.  These flowers used for the ceremony were then moved to the reception tables during the cocktail hour.
