Original Save The Dates from Minted

I needed some ideas for fun holiday cards this year and my friend Sarah from Sarah's Test Kitchen told me about Minted.com. This place has some really modern and fun designs to choose from. They also have adorable "yearline " Holiday Cards and Save The Date cards!

You can get 100 of them for about $2 each. Affordable and original!

Writing on Vellum

Have you ever tried writing on vellum before? It's a total pain. And I love vellum paper. This all started when I was sending out birth announcements last year and I really wanted to use vellum envelopes. But I had a problem finding the right pen to write on them without smearing. So I searched around and finally found something that works!

I contacted Kimberly from Tokyo Pen Shop and she was so nice! She helped me choose the right pen for the job. She said that this was the best pen to write on vellum and she was right! I love it. You can buy it here.

And if you are looking for some cute gift ideas you should take a look around the shop. I bought these cute little ladybug note cards to keep in my purse just in case. I think this would be a really cute item to include in bridesmaid gift bags.

I love this!

And now I'm trying to find an excuse to buy these adorable holiday paper clips. They have a bunch of different animal shapes to choose from. Check them out here.

Renegade Craft Fair

I'm not sure how I found this website but I'm very much looking forward to it. I imagine it's like etsy.com but you get to actually see and touch all of the awesome stuff made from scratch.

This is the little ditty they have on their "about" page:

The Renegade Craft Fair is a unique DIY event held annually in Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles & San Francisco. RCF has gained a reputation over the last six years as being the biggest, best and the most well-known of all the DIY craft fairs out there. Each individual fair draws hundreds of applicants and tens of thousands of shoppers from all over the country and abroad! At RCF you’ll find all sorts of cool handmade stuff - including plush items, jewelry, posters + prints, craft kits, clothing, stationery + more.

The one in San Francisco will take place JULY 18 + 19 from 11am - 7pm, at Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion.

I have a wedding on Saturday (Hi Catie!) but hopefully I will make it on Sunday. Hope to see you there!

Baby Shower Invites!

Not totally wedding related but it's still something worth sharing. After all, who doesn't like cute and original stationery?! My friend Sara who owns Stinkerpants Designs hadn't started her design business back when I got married. But when I saw all of her adorable illustrations I knew I wanted her to design my baby shower invites.

Check it out!

Sara and I were also grabbing lunch a few weeks ago and I was telling her about this cute little church I was at for a wedding set up. After talking more we discovered that we shared the same clients because she made Thank You notes for them with the picture of the Church! She just posted pictures of them on her blog.

Sara does all sorts of hand dandy work - I love the Save The Dates and
Thank You Cards! I also heard she does Invites now.

You can see more of her illustrations and examples here.

J & D Invites

I was able to assist Jessica and Dave with their invitations and flowers for their wedding! I was very excited when they decided to have the invites letterpressed. They hired Mercurio Brothers based out of Berkeley and from what I hear, one of the more affordable printing companies out there. You provide the design and they print. I love how they turned out!

I'll post pictures of their flowers next so stay tuned!

E & B Part II

I posted some floral pictures from Eva and Brian's Wedding last week. I was also able to help Eva with her invitations and monograms where she was able to incorporate into her programs and table numbers. I mentioned that she had some great details so here are some of them!

Eva & Brian's Invites

Program with the monogram I designed. These were pretty cool programs.
They looked like a pocketfold on the outside.

Program opened up.

The bottom part of the program fanned out. She used an eyelet for this par

I loved their menus! It took me back to my elementary school days
where my friends and I would make "cootie" catchers or fortune tellers.

Inside with the menu choices

Then you open the flap and it tells you the menu items for the night!

Favor boxes with the same monogram as the program

Table Numbers

Having a monogram or motif that is used throughout the wedding
really helps tie everything together!

M&E Gocco Invites

I was floored when I saw these beautiful boxed invitations that Maritess made for her upcoming wedding. I was so excited to open it up and see what was inside. She printed using a home computer and with a gocco machine. She was able to "gocco" the box and include some really nice details inside. Let's take a look....

Quote inside the cover of the box lid.

Love her monogram!
