For the Little Fella

So this post isn't floral related but definitely wedding related. I just met with a client and we started talking about clothing options for the ring bearers. Her ring bearer is a tiny guy (10 months). Most little babies don't like wearing a suit or tux (most grown men don't either). So how can you include the little one and make sure they are comfortable? Well it just so happens that a friend of mine sent me this link (randomly) and I thought it was really cute.

Little Clip on Bow Ties! So cute.

You can buy them here at Cherry Bloomer Shop.
They only cost $9.50 and she offers man colors and patterns.

My friend Sarah also turned me on to this esty shop called Very Kiki. I bought one of these for my little one for Easter. You can find more colors here.

Here's a picture of my little guy all gussied up. He loved the shirt and had no idea he was all dressed up looking like a handsome little guy (I'm not biased or anything ;).
And yes, he often looks confused when the camera is on him.

I searched around the internet and found this at Nancy August. So cute!! I know - it's probably not very comfortable but those little boys need to learn about fashion over comfort sooner or later, right?

H & S Wedding | Chapel of Our Lady | Golden Gate Club | The Presidio

Heather and Simon planned a destination wedding in San Francisco. I met with them early on when they came to visit from Australia scouting out venues. They decided to get married at the beautiful Chapel of our Lady church in the Presidio and had their reception at the Golden Gate Club. Heather wanted something elegant, classic and timeless so we went with shades of cream and ivory with touches of green.

This was a gorgeous cake.

This room had floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay and had views of the Golden Gate Bridge. It was a sunny and clear day perfect for the wedding.

Fascinated with Fascinators

What the heck is a fascinator? I wondered the same thing until I saw them at a bridal event a couple of weekends ago. They are hats. Not just hats. Also barrettes, combs and headbands. Basically anything you put in your hair. They're big in England. Ever since I saw these fascinators (and tried on a few) I haven't been able to stop thinking about them. I want one. I have no reason to wear it. But I'm a grown woman now and I feel like I should be able to wear what ever I want. So there. Maybe I will put one on while doing the dishes. Who am I kidding? I don't do the dishes. Maybe I'll put one on while working on my weddings. Let's call it an inspirational piece for my designs. Well, just because I have no reason for them - I figured some of my readers might :)

I found these on Etsy. Seller is called Powder Blue Bijoux. These are all very affordable.
I think the most expensive one shown below is $45.

And since I'm not a bride anymore....here's a few I like that I want to get for my friends upcoming wedding.

So - what do you think? Are you digging the fascinators like me?

A & C Wedding Part II

As promised, more pictures of Annamarie and Chris' Wedding. They pretty much did everything - from sewing the table runners, building the family tree, making the caramel apple favors to all of the flower and table decor. You can see all of the love and time that went into the details.

Caramel Apple favors

Family tree. She hung wedding portraits from the tree that her dad and Chris made. Love it!

Inspired by Stinkerpants Designs she gocco'd napkins with facts about themselves.
And here are just a few more lovely details for you to check out. I think Annamarie wrote the menu on the board. It looks like her writing (which is disgustingly perfect....)
