Stumbleupon + Etsy Bridal Event

I had a great time meeting all sorts of awesome people at the Stumbleupon and Esty event last week.  It was a lot of fun working with one of my previous brides Cathelya (a.k.a Mrs. Penguin from Weddingbee) who hosted the Lover.ly booth.  The opportunity came up pretty last minute so we didn't have a lot of time to plan but maybe that was a good thing?  I had to come up with a plan fast and didn't have time to change my mind.  Overall, I'm pretty excited how everything turned out and a big thank you to Amanda from One True Love Vintage Rentals for hooking me up with the super awesome farm table, vintage doors with the shelves and the chair.  I definitely would not have been able to pull the look together without her pieces.

If you haven't checked out Stumbleupon yet - it's a fun tool to find things you like.  You can check out some of the things I stumbledupon here: http://www.stumbleupon.com/stumbler/huckleberrykaren

While you are at it - you should also check out Lover.ly - a place where you can bundle all of your beautiful wedding inspiration in one place.  I'll be sharing some of my favorite bundles soon!

And here are some lovely photos taken by Melanie Duerkopp.  Thank you Melanie for sharing these with us!!

Here is my "booth" where I chatted with brides about the upcoming nuptials.

Here is Amanda's section for One True Love Vintage Rentals.  She just picked up this awesome shoe rack and so I decorated it with a garland and accented it with some bold flowers in the corner.

Here is the Lover.ly table.  Absolutely adorable!

The desserts were made by Batter Bakery located in San Francisco.  All I can say is YUM.  I managed to sneak in a cookie and cupcake and both were delicious!

Fun Finds: Cupcake Stands

Here are some very cute custom cupcake stands that I saw on Hostess with the Mostess blog.  You can get them from an Esty store called Pedestals.  Love it!

Fabulous Cake

This was one of my bride's cake from her wedding last fall.  I LOVE this cake.  So simple and elegant and tells a story.  Can't get much better than that!

Cake made by Kelly O'Brien of Glass Slipper Gourmet.

Donuts!!

What does donuts have to do anything with flowers?  Nothing really, but one of my July couples LOVES donuts so they will be having a donut table. At first I thought it was a table in the shape of a donut and I was very confused.  It turns out it just means it will be a dessert table with all kinds of lovely donut goodies displayed in an aesthetic way.  She sent me a photo and I instantly wanted to stuff my face with donuts and then save the beautiful cake pedestal so I could stare at its beauty every night.  I have a thing for cake pedestals (ask my husband, I think I registered for 5 different cake stands when we got married).

Anyway - I will be given the task to decorate this donut table with flowers and I am very excited to do this.  Do you think they will notice a couple of donuts missing?  I love it when couples share what THEY love with their guests. And let's face it, who doesn't love a good donut?

Genius Idea! A Mobile Bakery

My husband was cruising the streets in the Mission District in San Francisco and came across a truck called Sweet Ride. It's a mobile bakery that has all of the sweet goodies one could imagine. He of course thought of me since I love anything cute and small like cupcakes.

He had some banana pudding and gave it a thumbs up and came home to tell me about it. Why he didn't buy me something is beyond me. Apparently, I still need to train him.

However, he does get points for sharing this with me because I can share it with all of you. How cool would it be to have Sweet Ride hang out in front of your wedding and serve your guests some dessert? Pretty sweet, I think.

And if you want to stalk them (like me) you can follow them on twitter to find out where they are hanging out!

E + N Wedding | Sausalito's Women's Club

Erin and Natalie wanted fun and bright flowers for the wedding. They love gerber daisies so we used them in the ceremony and reception decor. The Sausalito Women's Club is a hidden gem. It's tucked away in the hills and perfect for a small and quaint wedding!

Ceremony: I made two wreaths and strung a garland across the trees.

Wreath: Carnations, dahlias and gerbera daisies

D + J Wedding | Sofitel Hotel | Pacific Athletic Club Part II

Dominique and Jason had their reception at the Pacific Athletic Club in Redwood City. It's a beautiful room with floor to ceiling windows. The walls and carpet are neutral colored so you can really bring in your own style and colors without worrying about it clashing with the room!
Here are some pictures of the reception that my assistant Beth took for me.

Tall Centerpieces with mazanita branches, hydrangea, roses, dahlias and orchids.

Low centerpieces with green broccoli hydrangea, white hydrangea, white dahlias, vendela roses, green hypericum berries and white stock.

And here's a picture of their adorable candy buffet table!

My next wedding feature fall colors in oranges and reds!
