C+D Wedding Part II

Here are some more pictures of Cindy and David's Wedding. Thomas Fogarty has wonderful options for the reception. They have a gorgeous deck called the Pavillion where guests can have dinner outside. If it's a bit windy or foggy you can have dinner in the Hillside Room where there are floor to ceiling windows with views to die for.

Fogarty Pavillion

Cindy purchased the orchids and had friends set it up.
Simple and elegant!

I decorated the head table with white dendrobium orchids
and burgundy dahlias

Small cocktail arrangements with burgundy dahlias.
I love this color.

And my favorite part of all weddings...cake!
These pictures were also photographed by Cindy's friend.

Congratulations Cindy and David!

C+D Wedding Part I

Cindy and David had a beautiful wedding at Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, California. Their colors were creams, sage green and plum.

Cindy has some very talented friends! Her friend took these gorgeous pictures
of her bouquet and bouts!

Dream A Little Dream Event

I hired Kathryn from Dream A Little Dream Events for my own wedding in April 2006. Since then, Kathryn and I have kept in touch and she really supported my decision to start my own small business. Kathryn has a wonderful team of Event Coordinators that work with her and she also has THE most beautiful calligraphy.

She emailed me the other day to let me know about a little event she is planning for Bay Area Brides. I would have loved to do this before my wedding!

It's called the The "Dream Bridal Tour" and it includes:

A chauffeured tour in a shuttle provided by California Wine Tours

A private shopping experience at Haute Bride (opening just for our participants!)

A cocktail party at Betsey Johnson to view rehearsal and bridesmaid gowns

A lovely brunch with myself, my staff and the other 19 participants

Plus much, much more!

The Tour takes place on Sunday September 28th from 10:30am-4:30pm.
Price is $45/per person. There are only 20 openings for this event so sign up soon!

For more information and how to sign up - check out Kathryn's Blog here.

Baby Shower Invites!

Not totally wedding related but it's still something worth sharing. After all, who doesn't like cute and original stationery?! My friend Sara who owns Stinkerpants Designs hadn't started her design business back when I got married. But when I saw all of her adorable illustrations I knew I wanted her to design my baby shower invites.

Check it out!

Sara and I were also grabbing lunch a few weeks ago and I was telling her about this cute little church I was at for a wedding set up. After talking more we discovered that we shared the same clients because she made Thank You notes for them with the picture of the Church! She just posted pictures of them on her blog.

Sara does all sorts of hand dandy work - I love the Save The Dates and
Thank You Cards! I also heard she does Invites now.

You can see more of her illustrations and examples here.

A Birthday Celebration!

I ended July with a birthday celebration for my Mother in Law - Trudy. It was a 60th Birthday Celebration so it had to be fabulous (since Trudy is pretty fabulous herself). I had Lisa from Bellissima Weddings help out since my pregnant belly slows me down these days!

The food that we ordered was some barbecue from Armadillo Willy's so wanted to do a nice version of a outdoor picnic. The colors we used were chartreuse, yellow and white.

First I made the invites. I designed the invite on my computer and
bought supplies from Paper Source.

We had the party in their backyard so we rented some tables, chairs and
linens from Classic Party Rentals.

For the centerpiece I made a small floral arrangement, filled a vase with
some limes and made a small pomander with daisies.

I loved these little pomanders!

It was a small affair (30 guests) so we treated each linen napkin
with an orchid and berries.

We decorated the fence and trees with some paper lanterns.

The tall branch arrangement I made for the appetizer table.
Do you see the red cooler in the background?
That was instantly removed once I saw it in the picture. :)

As a surprise for Trudy we hired a Caricaturist to draw some pictures of the guests.
Here is grandma and Grandpa with their picture!

Here's the picture drawn for Ben and me.

Hope you enjoyed your birthday Trudy!

N & R Wedding

Nancy and Robert got married at the SFO Westin Hotel in Millbrae, California. The Westin has this beautiful ballroom with hanging chandeliers from the ceilings. Unlike most hotels, the carpet and walls are pretty neutral in color so you can really dress the room up the way you want. The couple's color combo was pink and brown - a personal favorite of mine!

Nice detail with personalized water bottles for the out of town bags.
