S + J Wedding

Stacy and Jason got married here in San Francisco at the Sens Restaurant located on the Embarcadero. This restaurant had a balcony with the most beautiful view of the bay and Bay Bridge. The challenge with this wedding was the tables they have at the restaurant. They're pretty narrow and so we had to come up with something that would look nice on the tables without taking too much room. So we decided to use manzanita branches laying down on it's side accented with some orchids.

C & J Wedding | Palo Alto Hills Country Club

I was pregnant the first time I met with Colleen. As soon as she told me that she was a pediatric nurse at the hospital I was going to have my baby I knew it was meant to be. Colleen was so sweet - she gave me some tips on which rooms were the best at the hospital.:) She even came by and visited me a couple of times after I had Emmett!

So of course I wanted to make sure that Colleen and Jeremy had a beautiful wedding adorned with Colleen's favorite flowers. She wanted shades or orange and red and plenty of tulips!

And here is a very nice email I received from Colleen after the wedding!

Hi Karen,
I just wanted to write to you to let you know how AMAZING I thought your flowers were! I was a little worried that I might have been all over the place with my ideas or whatever, but you totally nailed it on the head! I was sooo happy with what you made and I got so many compliments on them. I really couldn't have asked for anything better. So I just wanted you to know that and I'll make sure to spread your name around : ) I hope all is well with you!

Take care!
Colleen

Renegade Craft Fair

I'm not sure how I found this website but I'm very much looking forward to it. I imagine it's like etsy.com but you get to actually see and touch all of the awesome stuff made from scratch.

This is the little ditty they have on their "about" page:

The Renegade Craft Fair is a unique DIY event held annually in Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles & San Francisco. RCF has gained a reputation over the last six years as being the biggest, best and the most well-known of all the DIY craft fairs out there. Each individual fair draws hundreds of applicants and tens of thousands of shoppers from all over the country and abroad! At RCF you’ll find all sorts of cool handmade stuff - including plush items, jewelry, posters + prints, craft kits, clothing, stationery + more.

The one in San Francisco will take place JULY 18 + 19 from 11am - 7pm, at Fort Mason Center Festival Pavilion.

I have a wedding on Saturday (Hi Catie!) but hopefully I will make it on Sunday. Hope to see you there!

L & M Wedding | The Brazilian Room | Berkeley

Laura and Matt celebrated their wedding at one of my new favorite places - The Brazilian Room in Berkeley. It's located on the hills of Tilden Park with a beautiful view. It's one of the more affordable places in the bay area but it does have some cons. They have a lot of rules and you must use their preferred list of caterers. If you can handle all the rules (which are necessary to keep the building in pristine condition) then this place can be the perfect setting for a wedding.

Lauren loves all spring flowers so we used all of them! Tulips, anemones, ranunculus, peonies, garden roses, lisanthus were all used to create a garden like feel for the wedding. It had a vintage flair to it with wonderful details like vintage hankies.

First up is Lauren's bouquet. I really liked her bouquet and I kinda wanted to keep it. I knew that I couldn't do that so I decided to take a lot of pictures of it instead.

I used a lot of flowers for this bouquet including peonies, anemones, garden rsoes, lisanthus, ranunculas, wax flowers, dahlias, spray roses and stock in shades of pink and white.

Lauren bought some cute vintage ribbon and we used it for her bouquet.
